What now? I say it’s OK to celebrate partial victories, even while acknowledging what has yet to be accomplished. So let’s celebrate this one! … AND … it’s also OK to acknowledge that this bill does not represent most of what we really want.

Since the good Rabbi's post is over at a blog alluding to tikkun olam, I think this is an apt phrase to consider, too, as we work to further reform here at home: it is not incumbent upon you to finish the task, but neither are you free to absolve yourself from it.
We won't win every struggle, but it's up to us to keep trying
because if we don't, we guarantee failure and really, what other point
is there to life or politics?
